Adiabatic air-cooling system

The adiabatic air-cooling process is based on water atomization. Water evaporates and reduces the temperature of the ambient air. The maximum benefit is achieved in hot and dry weather. For example, at an air temperature of 30°C and a relative humidity of 50%, the adiabatic cooling system can reduce the air temperature by 80С.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The parameters of an adiabatic cooling system are calculated based on the climatic and design conditions of the facility.

Turbotect Saint-Petersburg JSC offers adiabatic cooling systems on a turnkey basis:

  • Calculation and analysis of the system parameters and installation position
  • Manufacturing of the adiabatic cooling system
  • On-site installation and commissioning of the system

A standard version of an adiabatic air-cooling system includes:

  • headers
  • supply piping
  • water supply units
  • supply tanks

APPLICATION

The adiabatic cooling systems by Turbotect Saint-Petersburg JSC can be used for power, oil and gas facilities.

Such system manufactured in 2022 and installed at one of the gas facilities showed a significant increase in the process efficiency.

During high ambient temperatures, an adiabatic cooling system installed in the GT air intake filtration system increases the efficiency and power output of the gas turbine.
